About us

 We are Brandon & Anissa, and we've been married for 14 years and have lived in North Fontana for 5 years. Prior to Beyond, I (Brandon) served as Associate Pastor at Bethany Church in West Covina for 6 years, which was an immense joy! In addition to the gift of raising our 3 beautiful daughters, we're passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with others. Spending our adult careers in non-profit, military, education and faith-based settings, we've seen a lot. We also know that many people are hurting right now, and feeling like the answers sit beyond the Church. Yet, it's the seismic conflicts we face today that compels the Church to step in to her mission: to love God and love others... 

Our hearts have been stirred for our city and we're excited to plant Beyond Church alongside the team partnered with us in this mission. There's room for YOU to participate in this movement!  At Beyond we exist to belong in community, behold Jesus and believe beyond what we can imagine. 

On our journey of shaping and adventure, I (Brandon) obtained my B.A. in Religious Studies from University of California, Santa Barbara, and then a M.A. in Theology, and a second M.A. in Family Life Education (Family Counseling), both from Fuller Theological Seminary.  I love learning, and have taken post-graduate courses during the summers at Regent College in Vancouver, Canada. Anissa earned her B.A. in Sociology from University of California, Santa Barbara, and then her M.S. in Family Studies (School of Psychology) from Fuller Theological Seminary.
